My inspiration are organic forms, conditions and texure in nature, as well as the inconspicuous things we walk past every day. Water in the river, fog, ice, clouds and wind.
In the stressful everyday life, we often no longer see the subtleties. We increasingly focus on negative things that don't fulfill us. With my paintings, I'd like to encourage a connection with nature and raise our awareness of the beauties of everyday life. We should not forget, that we are part of this beauty. We will perceive how the light falls in the room in the morning. We'll watch the clouds, see how they wander. We will see the beauty of the pattering raindrops, only to rejoice in the sunshine all the more.

With my works, I'd like to set an example of how we can deal with our environment in a conscious and appreciative manner. I love to reuse and rework materials, to give them new value. It can make us feel good not to discard old things but to breathe new life into them and make them unique.
My works develop over a longer period with alot of layers and textures and consciously show these temporal elements. That is exactly the quality that defines my works as a symbol of our human nature.

Daniela Prokopetz studied at the University of Art in Linz and painting at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in Henning Bohl's class. As part of her studies, she spent a year abroad at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna. She lived in Plovdiv, Bulgaria for three years with her husband and 5-year-old daughter. Settling abroad as a family and as an artist has been a challenge, but also an incredible experience. She got to know the country and its wild nature and began to see nature with amazed eyes. Daniela is particularly fascinated by the living aesthetics, the traces of the past and the charm of the imperfect, the story that every place has to tell. After many moves, the artist returns to her hometown of Lower Austria with her family. A new approach and intensive confrontation with the soil of home follows. Vivid forms, earth, many layers of painting on paper and paint find expression in the artist's vibrant and life-affirming mixed media collage and decollage artworks, which openly explore her layers, her experiences and her scars. The artist's works have been featured in many exhibitions and in solo gallery shows. Her works can already be found in several collections.
